TL;DR
- We prioritize official policy, pricing, and support documentation.
- We separate observed facts from inference and label confidence.
- We update time-sensitive pages on a fixed cadence.
Scope
This methodology applies to verify and terms pages. Risk pages use a separate risk rubric for severity labels.
Evidence levels
- High: primary sources + dated screenshots or reproducible checks.
- Medium: primary source + one supporting signal (release note, support doc).
- Low: partial sources, unconfirmed plan deltas, or unstable ownership.
What counts as evidence
- Official terms, privacy policies, and pricing pages
- Provider help center documentation and enforcement guidance
- Product changelogs or release notes
- First-party screenshots with dates
- Reproducible checks you can run and record
What we do not do
- Provide legal advice
- Treat rumors as facts
- Publish plan deltas without sources
Update cadence
- Pricing/terms pages: review within 30 days
- Policy/incident pages: review within 90 days
- Ownership changes: review after any public announcement
What would invalidate this
- A new official policy effective date
- Updated pricing or plan definitions
- A documented change in enforcement practices
